International migration: more than 400 Yemenis displaced in one week due to living conditions

The United Nations International Organization for Migration announced: The displacement of 69 Yemeni families, including 414 individuals, during the last week of October until November 1, 2025, due to worsening violence and collapsing economic and health conditions.
The report indicates that these families were forced to leave their homes in the governorates of Hodeidah, Taiz, Ibb, Hadhramaut, Al-Jawf, Socotra and Al-Dhalea, and that most of them settled in the governorates of Ma’rib, Abyan and Hodeidah.
He pointed out that most cases of displacement (67%) were due to security reasons, while 32% were for economic reasons and one case was recorded for health reasons.
The organization confirmed that more than half of these families are in urgent need of food, while a quarter of them need shelter and around a third of them need financial assistance to meet their most basic living needs.
This latest displacement reflects the continued suffering of Yemeni families, as the total number of displaced families has increased since the start of 2025 to 2,784 families, including approximately 16,700 individuals.
